2006 was another successful year for The Sandie Hea Team. We assisted sixty-eight families buy and/or sell their homes this year! And with three closings already scheduled for January, 2007 is sure to be just as rewarding, if not more so!

Other big news for 2006 is the addition of two new team members! In October, we added Kelley Dorman as our Transaction Manager and Kate Kenny as our Marketing and Listings Coordinator.   Kelley is from Charlotte, North Carolina, has been in the real estate field for 7 years & has a wealth of experience that we rely on to keep the 1001 details in line for each transaction.  Kate is from southern California and with her desktop publishing expertise and web savvy keeps the sellers happy with feedback & the websites fresh with the newest listings & photos.    They have been working hard ever since to ensure that your real estate buying and selling experience with us runs as smoothly as possible, from start to finish.   Sandie’s husband, Paul, from Omaha, Nebraska also joined the team in February of 2006 and became an instant hit with the many buyers who come to us to find their new home.  He’s got the patience of a saint and the gift of negotiation!   We also are fortunate to have the vivacious and ever-so-friendly Carla Hubenthal working with us part time answering the 100’s of weekly leads we get from our websites.  Carla also owns The Sleeping Giant teaching small to medium sized companies how to motivate and inspire their employees to better customer service.

We are truly grateful for all of our clients, past and present, and as a token of our appreciation, we sent out postcards to everyone offering a FREE pie!  We got a chance to give out pies to 50 of you on November 21st  and spend a few minutes catching up.  We hope to see twice as many of you next year!  All you need to do to get your FREE pie is to be our client, refer someone to us, or buy one of our listings!  The delicious apple and pumpkin pies were baked by our local café The Daily Bread. We certainly enjoyed ours and hope you did, too!

November was a busy month, as we also hosted our first annual Coat Drive to benefit local charities. Many thanks to all our clients and area residents who donated their gently used winter clothing. Your jackets, sweaters, mittens and hats helped our less fortunate neighbors stay warm during  that ice storm in late November (just in the nick of time)! Many thanks to The Daily Bread again for providing a free coffee or latte to each who donated. Look for us again next year in the parking lot of The Daily Bread the morning after Thanksgiving as we continue the tradition of giving back to our community!

It was another successful year for The Sandie Hea Team’s Community Moving Truck. Not only did our clients and neighbors utilize the truck in their moves, but numerous Saint Louis area charities did as well, such as: Edgewood Children's Center, Oasis International Ministries, Autism Speaks, Rock Hill Baptist Church and the Storylink Program, The Joy Foundation, Guys for Life, Inc., Pregnancy Resource Center,  and The Scholarshop. For more information on these charitable organizations, or to find out how you can use our moving truck, please call our office.

And watch out for us 2007!  We have set a lofty goal to help 100 families buy or sell a house this year! You can help us by referring someone you care about to have the best service possible in the buying or selling of their home…Here are some of our recent testimonials:

I felt very confident that Sandie would sell my house even after it had been on the market for some time with another agent.                                                                Sue King

As a first time buyer, you helped me in areas I was not sure about. Your referrals for home inspectors proved invaluable. You demanded proper, legal, ethical methods and processes from buyers and sellers.                          Randy & Susanna Hird

I have not met anyone for a long time with such a bright brain! You just knew all my questions and concerns before I even spoke! Thank you! Thank you for everything! Your knowledge, sense of humor and leadership in this our tricky process of buying a home. If we decide to sell this home we know who to call! Thank you for making it so easy to get along with you!                                                  Lelja Susic & Ricky Durkovic

Sandie did a great job for us on the sale of two homes and the purchase of one. Our only regret is that we didn't follow her advice on the sale in University City. If we had initially priced the house as she advised, we could have sold sooner for much more!                                               Lynn deLearie & Kevin Pumm
