There’s a healthy rivalry with the neighboring school, Maplewood-Richmond Heights, in both sports and academics. Brentwood faculty and students alike work to beat the rival’s sports teams and standardized test scores. The parochial school of Saint Mary Magdalen serves Pre-K3 through grade eight. There are two institutions of higher learning in the neighborhood: Fontbonne University and Missouri College. The Brentwood branch of Fontbonne University has bevy of offerings. Missouri College specializes in business administration, health care, dental and massage therapy programs.
The MAGIC Bus provides transportation for anyone with a disability or those over age 60. The bus serves not only the community of Brentwood, but also Clayton, Kirkwood, Ladue, Maplewood, Richmond Heights, Rock Hill, Shrewsbury and Webster Groves. In addition to its regular stops, it also travels to select hospitals in the city such as St. Mary’s, Missouri Baptist and St. John’s Mercy Medical Center.
